I’m a firm believer that the mountains make everything in this world more magical. So it’s safe to say I jumped at the chance to capture Mason and Megan’s Leavenworth, Washington forest engagement. Between the towering forests of pines, vibrant green, and snow-capped mountains in the distance, this was one for the books.

Mason and Megan first met in New York, and found themselves back here in Washington where they are both teachers. When I first connected with them, it was glaringly obvious that they love seeking adventure and hitting the trails for a hike. Capturing their engagement session in the mountains on a family property deep in the woods seemed to make the most sense for them. We had such a fun time wandering through the pines and constantly dropping our jaws in awe. As if the views weren’t enough to make this session perfect, they brought their sweet golden retriever. After all, is there anything better than exploring with your fur baby?! 

This beautiful couple did a couple outfit changes and both were so fitting to the scenery. But my personal favorite was their second outfit where they lounged around in a hammock – right up their alley! Their sweet pup enjoyed every little bit of the entire session, almost as much as I did.
