Lace and Zach’s rainy Pacific Northwest forest elopement was 100% as dreamy as it sounds. The overcast skies and misty air made every inch of the forest’s greenery somehow more vibrant. Surrounded by their beautiful families, Lace and Zach tied the knot with showers above as the sun tried to make its way through. Truly, a PNW dream elopement.

Lace and Zach are one of the most gracious, down-to-earth couples I have met to this day. Their elopement day was an exact reflection of exactly that. Their day was full of so much love and emotion, as their families blended into one. I am such a sucker for couples including their kiddos in their wedding ceremony, no matter how big or small. Lace spent her morning getting ready with their two little girls; my heart was an absolute puddle. The love between each member of their family is enough to still bring back tears when looking back at their photos.

After Lace and Zach were both ready, we headed into the forest for an intimate first look. Their smiles truly say it all… Lace looked like a beautiful forest princess with her flow a-line dress with lace appliqué bodice. And Zach looked so handsome in his classy tuxedo. Beyond how beautiful they look as a couple, I am still not over their attitudes despite the rainy day. As often as people say how big of a blessing rain is on your wedding day, there’s no secret that it can sometimes still be a bummer. I didn’t see an ounce of disappointment from anybody in attendance of Lace and Zach’s rainy Pacific Northwest forest elopement. Even with Mount Adams being tucked behind the clouds, the rain eventually gave way to some golden sunshine overhead.

Weddings (and elopements) come with many things that are out-of-control. Whether there’s rain, a snowstorm, a cake mishap, or a broken heel… what matters most at the end of the day is finally marrying your person.
