If there’s one thing that gets me in my feels every time, it’s a good love story. Mark and Alex met back in college at Washington State University, and the rest is history! They both grew up on family farms, so their Central Washington family farm wedding was perfect. In fact, Alex’s family built the space that her and Mark had their reception on their property; how special! The shed had all the rustic, yet chic elements which were perfect for a wedding as beautiful as this one.

Alex and Mark tied the knot at their church, surrounded by their friends and family. After the ceremony, everyone headed to the reception space. I still can’t get over this place! With white wood paneling, string lights, and the most incredible florals, I was in love. There was even an old buggy from Alex’s family that added perfectly to the rustic vibe. Alex and Mark’s wedding day was full of rain, but they made the most of it. In between showers, we were able to take formals in front of Alex’s family home. Her bridesmaids wore the prettiest mismatched champagne dresses, and the groomsmen wore classic black tuxes, but skipped on the ties (such a fun twist!). Everyone looked stunning. And the cherry on top? Alex and Mark’s dog, Jersey, was in on the fun! 🐾

Family Farm Reception

After we wrapped up the formals at the family home, we took a little stroll to some wide-open land with the mountains in the background. Seeing the rolling mountains beneath the rain coming across the prairie was such a beautiful scene to capture. We brought a classic car out to the prairie and watched as the storm rolled in. To this day, these are some of my favorite photos! Once we were done with romantics, it was time to get the party started. The dinner tent was complete with long, family-style tables, lush greenery, soft baby’s breath, and chic black menus. Alex and Mark danced the night away and had a fun sparkler exit. The perfect ending to the perfect day.

Being able to capture such a pivotal moment in a couple’s life is such an honor that I will never take lightly. The joy, emotion, and love that surrounded Alex and Mark for their Central Washington family farm wedding was so incredibly evident; my heart was so full.
