A short list of a few of my favorite things: the mountains, a madly in love couple, a rustic venue. Combine all three!? Yes, please! CJ and Kaitlyn’s Cle Elum, Washington rustic microwedding was straight out of the pages of Rocky Mountain Bride (minus the Rocky’s😂). From the towering pines to the vibrant blue sky, I will forever reminisce on this wedding with nothing but fondness in my heart.

Kaitlyn and CJ were married in the mountains of Cle Elum, Washington at a rustic Airbnb. The Airbnb boasted vaulted ceilings, pine interior, and complete with a gorgeous deck overlooking the most incredible view. Kaitlyn was surrounded by her bridesmaids and flower girl while getting ready. After she was in her gown, she had a first look with her parents; let’s just say the happy tears were flowing! As much as I’m a sucker for a first look between the bride and groom, the joy that flowed from CJ as he saw his bride walk down the aisle was everything.

Fall Microwedding

Kaitlyn and CJ were married by one of their friends, surrounded by their closest friends and family. They had the most beautiful Fall color palette complete with rust and rose bridesmaids dresses and boho-style flowers; bold and warm oranges, fluffy pampas grass, and lush greenery. After the “I do’s” were said, we took some time capturing them with their pup – and hockey sticks! This couple is full of adventure; they are both in the military and are now stationed in South Korea. Having the opportunity to capture this chapter of their love story before they moved was such an honor. When we wrapped up the formals, we headed down to the lake’s shore for some romantics. We had a blast frolicking in the sand before the cake cutting and champagne toast back at the venue. Truly a dream.

This sweet couple’s Cle Elum, Washington rustic microwedding was exactly what they had envisioned, surrounded by their people. As fun as large weddings are, intimate weddings just have a special place in my heart. Watching (virtually) Kaitlyn and CJ grow their family, explore South Korea, and now prepare for their little one has been such a joy. Have I mentioned that I have the best job ever?!
